Another unexpectedly successful day spent at the worm farm and a second round at that Thai restaurant. Jaco was such a good sport at the worm farm. The weather was good to us too. But Maria and I almost got our asses kicked by some angry local lady when we made a wrong turn in swamp road. she fucking got out of her car and mouthed something at us. Hahaha. Bitch please get back in your fucking car away from us and chill the fuck out!!!! Maria locked her doors.

I’m so tired and impressed at all the accomplishments I did today with the help of Jaco’s dad. Good job on picking out the right day to cooperate. Kidding, kidding. He has been pretty cooperative fairly recently so that is something to appreciate.
Well I accompanied my grandpa on his errands today while Jude kept an eye on baby at my house. It was actually exciting because it was like re-living my childhood when my grandpa used to take me everywhere on little adventures/errand type things. Except I drove him this time. He used to take me on whatever yard sale listing in the newspaper or whatever thrift store/flea market. I remember carrying the newspaper in the car and crossing out the ones we went to. I can’t believe we would go to all those yard sales in all those villages. I was too young to consider how much gas was wasted, but it didn’t matter to my grandpa. I need to stop now before I seriously get teary-eyed. I’m happy I got to do that for him today.
When we got home it wasn’t long before I had to get back on the road with Jude and Jaco to do my own errands. It was the first of the month after all so I wanted to go to Tokyo Mart to get some asian foodstuffs. Ah, I love public assistance. Before that though I went to Meena’s where they have a backdoor to this secret, like, Indian food pantry. Like clothes in the front and food in the back. It’s a pleasantly strange arrangement. Anyway I purchased Ghee! and turmeric and a tube of Henna paint. I’m so fucking excited I just need to activate my pottymouth right now because I’m so fucking excited to use these three awesome fucking things.
Off to Tokyo Mart to get some groceries. Dried kelp and buckwheat noodles for me and farm raised eggs for Jaco’s iron intake, to name a few. Jude got some things too.
since I had been running errads up until that point I didn’t have anything for lunch and we decided to see what else that building had in store for us. Turns out next door there was a little Thai place and I’ve never been one to pass up Thai and the man who walked out had a cool Afrikan looking shirt on so I took that as a pretty obvious sign. Anyway, it was the best Thai ever. The lady grates young coconut every morning for all her coconut dishes and her and her husband go to the jungle for the bamboo in their red curry. What the fuck kind of awesome is that!?! The rare kind. Dakine. Brah.
Definitely going there again. Today was just full of pleasant little fucking surprises wasn’t it? The gods were in my favor today, the first of June. I need to record this.
I also forgot to mention that I stopped by Bob’s Nursery today and what a beautiful place that is btw…I purchased a little potted succulent and baby cactus to add to the small collection of plants I have in my room. Also, tarragon for my growing herb collection. It’s cool that my mom is feeding off my enthusiasm because I came home to curry leaves, more basil, a mulberry plant, some grapefruit, sineguelas, and more mangoes.
Because I had a long day today I am going to skip out on yoga. I’m definitely not feeling bad about it though. It’s okay.
Maybe on sunday I’ll find time to run, but tomorrow I’m heading to the Worm Farm with Maria and I’m bringing Jaco too. Also going to my favorite health food store to re-stock on some stuff. My skin misses it’s Acai concentrate. Definitely one of the best weekends.
